I can't believe this is how it feels to be sooo close to achieving your dream - regardless of how hard we've had to fight.....
Congratulations to each and everyone of you in EB2-India and China that have been pushing and clawing your way (just like I have) to get your greencards. While my PD is a month away - I am so glad for you. Get ready to go on a loooooong break (mentally, emotionally, and physically if possible as well).
I have been saving up every penny of my disposable income (after the shopping and eating out and everything else!) to go do the things I've wanted:
Climb Mt. Kilimanjaro
Spend 3 months with my family in India and Dubai
Go back to Culinary School
Go to Bordeaux and learn about wine
Become an amazing photographer (just like one of the members on this forum...)
The list goes on and on....
But most of all - I can't believe that the moment is here for almost ALL of us to be free of the shackles and really really live our lives. I'm proud to have participated in everything and hopefully we ALL worked to make this huge of a difference and will see this effort through to help all our colleagues stuck in the EB3-India and China mess....

I am also planning to start a Nursing Registry, LLC once I get my EAD. However, I don't have much capitalization.
How much do you think is the minimum amount of money to get a business running with just one person - me - as owner/employee?
I've done a little research and got some info. like:
LLC registration: US$ 500
State Tax: US$800
Capital Expense: US$ 3,000 (own house using own computer)
Operating Expense: US$ 60,000 (salary, utilities, consumables) per annum
Is this correct? Any thing missing here?

The best way is this .
1) Apply labor and I140 .
2) Once I-140 is approved have an understanding with the companyeturn to ( attorney ) that they will not stip your GC processing .
3) Return to Booming India and have fun and make money . Raise kids . Change jobs .
4) Hope that the PD will be current by the time you are 60 and ready to retire .Get your GC stamped in India by 2040 . :D
5) Retire in the USA in instead of India . :D

Any comments on this dual intent option and how it will effect current 485/140 ? As this supposed to effect cases of 140 filed after 15 may 07 ? Or where does it state in bill the same? If thats the case then there is no point of employment based immi at all

Yes I believe that's what it means... If you date is not current or not about to become current in the next months, then your case would be unlikely to be adjucated...

This bill is purely on the theory of Common man vs politician
What is a politician?
Politician is a contaminated breed of Human species. Here's the difference.
When a common man see the problem, he tries to make a resolution and tries to make a permanent solution helping everyone.
Now what does a politician do.. he see a problem and think how can he pretend to get a resolution while trying to make use of the problem for his political advantage hurting everyone and even hurting who were not effected by that problem and then use the same cycle to resolve the residual problems of the so called "solution" for his gains.. and this goes on and on and on.
Moreover the worst part of the story is no matter where you go in this world, you will find this weed growing everywhere and there is no weed control chemicals to kill them and surprisingly common man is a fertilizer to grow it.

Guys,
The H1B holder is ELIGIBLE for the stimulus package since he/she has SSN. He won't be able to claim the benefit for spouse if the spouse does not have SSN.
So just because spouse does not have SSN does not mean that the H1B holder becomes ineligible to receive the benefit. H1B will get $600 for himself/herself as long as he/she has filed IT returns.

2 tier filing as of now does not allow EAD. it is only to pre adjudicate cases for i-485. Also, it opens a whole bunch of other problems. please read related (old) thread to it on this site.
If as part of 2 tier filing, EAD is allowed, i am all for it. So, we are only asking to get EAD/I-485 filing as soon as I-140 is approved.

hi i have come to the u.s. on a f2 visa and currently my spouse is doing her OPT.i applied for a driving licence in georgia and i was issued a learners permit based on my I94,visa and letter from social security office denying me a ssn.
i went to the same centre(decatur) for a road test and now they say that we cannot give you a licence because your visa says dependent for a student of wisconsin university,so you should go to wisconsin and get your licence.i went to another dmv centre and after verifying my docs. they let me take the road test and i cleared the test and they asked me to go to the counter to pay money , at that time the person in the counter again asked me for passpoert and i94 and he saw that university of wisconsin stuff on my visa and he said he will not issue a licence and i spoke to the supervisor and he says get a letter from INS ,i showed him my spouse opt card and showed him the words in the card which reads"eligible to work in u.s. upto ----").now he says that is your spouse opt card ,what autorisation do you have to stay in GA ?
has any one come across such a problem?is so kindly advice

I had an email conversation with my lawyer regarding 180 day portability.
She said that the count for 180 days should begin with notice date for safe side.
However the count begins with Receipt Date which is a day or 2 off from the actual application receive date (mail received date).
This is what i got from my lawyer.
