USCIS provides regular updates on the processing of FY2011 H-1B petitions. I am on L1 visa since May 10, and have plans to switch to H1 without going back to India. My employer is not ready to provide experience and relieving letters, if I dont resign and I cant resign, since I need to pay 5000$.
1) So, does it make a problem while applying for GC, If I dont have these letters from present employer.
2) Inlcuding present company's experience only , I will be able to qualify for EB2 category. But I will not be having letters from my present employer to show that I am having 5 years experience.
Is it must to have experience and reliving letters from all my employers? What are the options for me now? :confused:

Given the Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad�s immigration history, the common refrain of �let�s just close our borders to all immigrants� is (not surprisingly) becoming more vocal. After all, as the argument goes, if someone like Shahzad (who apparently is not one of the �best and brightest�) is able to obtain a student visa, then an H-1B �specialty occupation� work visa, a green card, and the ultimate prize of U.S. citizenship � all in a span of less than 8 years -- then perhaps we need to take a step back, take a deep breath and just close our borders...

hello,
Unfortunately a person with a pending form I-130 is not eligible to receive a work authorization. I-130 itself does not give you the legal authority to USCIS to issue a work permit. It is possible to get a work authorization if such a person has a pending I-485 (Adjustment of status) or is in other valid immigration status that would allow him / her to get work authorization.

I need feedback from you guys. I have researched this lawyer before I got her to start my greencard and the feedbacks seems that she is efficient and knowledgeable. However, since we signed the contract with her, things have been moving so slow. She doesn't want to talk to me or give me status updates when asked. She has all the information needed from me and my employer to start the prevailing wage request but a month has passes and nothing has been requested yet. Has anybody here experience the same thing?

Labor clearance done March 2005; I140 approved 11/11/2007. Filed for I485 08/23/2007.
I am changing my title but staying with the same compnay. I am also changing location. few qs
1. Should I file AC21 due to location change?
2. can i file a new LC for the new job title (Its very very different than what what i did earlier) and carry my PD?

Your help on the matter is appreciated. I am EB3-I. I filed for I-485 in July-07. I have been working on H1. Now I am going to switch to EAD by AC21. My new job has same job title and job duties. They have another condition for job. I will have to have a Masters in 8 years of starting my job.Their basic requirement is still Bachelors but Masters condition is kind of extra condition. Hello,
I am changing my employer with whom I had a H1-B (extended beyond 6 years) and with the new employer I will be starting on EAD (which I have from my wife's GC application). I have couple of questions.
- Once I start using EAD and if I travel out of US and intend to use AP for re-entry, are there any issues travelling to European countries? I have heard there are problems getting transit visas when on AP. Is this true or is it just for particular airlines?
- Once I start using EAD, can the new employer apply for H1-B visa transfer or a new H1-B after I start using EAD or its not possible.

S-9, the amnesty bill introduced by Senator Scary Reid in January has no text and no calendar. Apparently Obama wants to choose his fights and knows that a bad bill, like S-9 will sink his popularity and the chances of getting what he feels is more significant legislation passed (Health Care). Hi, Cled. You got a good shadow in there, but it's opposing the direction of sunlight (note the flower's stamen which has a shadow coming towards the camera).
The person appears to have been caught in "mid leap" although intended to be kneeling. I'm not sure how you'd really do something about that. Perhaps by making the shadow appear darker and less blurred near knees and shoes?
As far as blending the person over the flower, looks good - no funny edges or outlines.
