But if you can't control the vitriol coming from the Tea Party wing and actually work with Dems on immigration reform, you're not going to reverse the damage. In short, conservative Hispanics still perceive the GOP as anti-them. And PR campaigns aren't going to fix that problem. But promoting pro-immigration candidates, as some groups mentioned in the article are doing, is a hopeful sign.

I see the following address in the I-485 form. But it is a PO Box address.

P O Box 87485
Lincoln NE 68501-7485

I think Fedex will not accept PO Box address. Is it true ? So, what is the correct address for sending I-485 and I-765 using Fedex Overnight ?

Please help me.

Generally you get it within 60 days. You sent only a few days ago, wait until March. If they say 3 months, they mean to say that they approve application within 3 months.

Hi,

I am currently on H4 and had to file my H4 Extension as my current H4 was expiring. At the same time I also filed for H1B in 2008 and was picked up in the lottery. Now I am confused on which application the USCIS will consider.
Will it be H1B or H4?

If my H4 extension is approved after H1B will my status then becomes H4?

if H1B is approved after H4 will then the status becomes H1?

Is there a way that I can make sure the status at the end I have is H1B?

Can I change to different employer while the i140 is pending and also keep the PD. What i would like to do is..i want to change to a different employer and ask the present employer to keep the i-140 process as it is.

Is it ok if the i-140 gets approved while i no longer work for that company. I understand if i get any RFE, then employer need to respond accordingly.

For me it took 1.5 months. I visited the consulate to check the status. Typically you can check the status of your passport renewal from CGI mail room. They can tell you whether your passport is processed, mailed etc.

Unfortunately CGI Houston has very poor customer service. They won't answer your calls or reply to your emails.

I sent the applications(I-140,I-485,I-131,I-765)to Nebraska center 3 weeks ago and it was received by them on December 17,2007(because I tracked the FedEx package).Until today,no receipts yet and my checks are not cashed yet and the receipting update says Current for Nebraska, is the normal or there is something wrong?

My last H1 transfer gave me a 3yr H1 approval. But in reality, this will make it 1 year more than the 6 years allowed. My Perm and 140 are approved before the 6th year ended and my company filed a H1B amendment request just a day before 6th year ended. It is still pending. Now, my wife is in india and she has to get back here for filing 485 in july. Can I use my existing H1 to apply for visa in this situation?
